Very loved wife, mum, Nana, very Pagan, very Celtic(Irish), very Socialist. Now a seamstress in the countryside, past & present a proud fighter for rights and freedom, always for the good of all so mote it be. DMs? If relevant.
so content, it’s lovely to see; she’ll be a fine girl when we’ve done all the work that we’re doing, she’s so bright & keen to learn. Husband’s a bit miffed, thought she’d be our dog; Poppy responds to my voice, gestures, follows me, sticks to me like glue-I’m the staffy mum!

A while ago, my beloved Daisy, who’d been the most loyal, loved companion since she chose me at 11 weeks, died. She was 15, I was honoured to have known her. I was lost without her; on my own all day, (very rural), lonely without her. Glad that she’s out of pain, happy with her Ozzie, our golden lab

So cute-in all this grief & shite our dogs keep us sane, I think-my rescue Poppy, a staffy cross American Bull Dog, has been with me a week & is totally at home, quite happy next to me on the sofa, & more than happy to be photographed!

I didn’t watch, but I tend to agree. My 15 year old staffy Daisy died 6 weeks ago, I was bereft. Meet Poppy: she’s a staffy cross American bull dog, aka staffy on steroids, a rescue. Clever, quick to learn, great company, she’s about a year, & I’m the luckiest dog mum in the world.

Everyone, esp. those who blame all Britain’s problems on migrants, should read this. Please, Britain, wake up,stop stigmatising people who, through no fault of their own, need refuge in our country, & are more than willing to contribute towards its wellbeing. Great Britain was built from them.

If I were younger,I’d join these amazing people. They have the courage to stand up & state the bleeding obvious, rub it in people’s faces. JUST STOP OIL.

My bestest girl Daisy, a Staffy, a breed renowned for being good ratters, & in her day she was one of the best, is now 14, & very arthritic in her back legs. Yesterday she brought me a present-a big rat, ragged, neck broken, still warm on the conservatory floor. Clever girl-she’s still got it.

This is a bit cut off, but really moved me. Gaza genocide - Guernica 1937 - hmm, ouch, gets me in the midriff.

And another truth. I still can’t fathom why Keir Starmer, a human rights lawyer of some repute (Croatia), has his eyes tight shut when it comes to Israel committing war crimes & genocide. Might have to push him on this-I’m too darned old to join the SWP, but this issue is making me sick.

How true is this? Israel always twisting the narrative (Amsterdam), they always have to be the victim. The evidence that they manipulated everything that went to MSM re 7th October has never been given enough attention. Our demonstration was about truth-a walk of truth to power.

We are the proof that a better world is possible, every time we do something, no matter how small, to make this world a little better for someone else. It gets cold, hard, oh so gutty & wearing sometimes, we crawl into a corner & cry, grieve, we come out & try again. The strength yesterday, oh wow.

And I was there yesterday, it was wonderful.

Gives quite a good explanation.

Please, understand how the Palestinians in Gaza feel. Peace talks about Lebanon, that looks good-does anyone care about the people in Gaza who, right now, are still being bombed, have no homes, & Israelis are already making plans to impose settlements there? Does Anyone Care?

And I feel the same. I just want to remind everyone in the UK:

Daisy says she’s always known that rain is really bad for her coat, paws, everything-but her mum is even more stubborn than Daisy (secret of being an alpha Staffy mum), so walk in it she must.

I met my wonderful husband, absolute love of my life,on Plenty of Fish. This was the photo he used on his profile,I just liked the way he’s got his arm around the most gorgeous German Shepherd. She’s Bonnie, the matriarch of his pack of 5 dogs at the time that my Staffy Daisy joined-Happy Ever After.

I wish the orange thing was on Bluesky (no, I don’t, he’d not last long anyway), he so needs to see this. Every single inch of land stolen by Putin still belongs to Ukraine. He will never make it otherwise.

Hi, wanted to click on the link, but it’s labelled as spam. I’m angry 😡, guess you will be too-I emailed Bluesky support re someone in Gaza I’ve been following since I was on Twitter, his a/c blocked, didn’t even get a reply.
