The dog that hasn't barked is often used to mean that the absence of something is a clue. I think Epstein had grown suspicious of Trump since his name wasn't mentioned in connection to a victim Epstein knew he had spent time with.

That is my take on it. The lack of Trump's name in connection to a certain victim was a clue.

I thought the story was that they didn't want to release the files to protect the identities of the victims. So a redacted email is released and the White House immediately outs the name of the victim?
