Yeah, I sincerely don't get the hogging thing. If you're sweaty, wipe it down when sharing, and if you're feeling generous, pin it back to the other person's weight. (With plates/free weights, a bit more complicated courtesies involved.) But it's just....weird to insist on hogging it.

My better half's great analogy: LLMs are like "Excel skills": helpful if you know how to use it well, counterproductive if you don't, but definitely not "the singularity" or "end of work." Skeptical of really transformative productivity gains, but might eliminate a class of jobs like "bookkeeper."
