He Hākoro | Toa Rangatira | Kaipūkaha Rorohiko | Tauiwi ahau. I am a father | husband | computer engineer | immigrant. Working on learning Kai Tahu Mita for my whānau.
Wake up early before it's warm, then go old school with a flyswat. Getting at them early in the morning (with any direct action method) will usually be easiest while they're still slow.

I've found the outside traps that have water in them and some bait, to usually collect a lot (but never all).

I haven't had a chance to check out all of them yet, but Miriama Kamo's series has been wonderful for more detail as tāhaku tamaiti has grown and is ready for more detail.

Āe, he ātaahua te pukapuka rā.

I also love Melanie Drewery's Matariki. And Matariki Around the World, and... and... and... There's so many great Matariki books.

I don't have experience with older kids yet, but that makes the terms too long. By the end of 10ish weeks everyone seemed done. Everyone's exhausted and not learning as effectively and the number of illnesses just ramps up.

And it gives you points to start making connections with the people you are talking to.

And I just told my wife this and five minutes later she still can't breath for laughing.

Not at all, I certainly new them as stiffies (as apposed to floppies for the larger disks without the casing). I was almost old enough to get the inuendo in the names (and also in a, at the time, sanctioned country where tech was behind the rest of the 'western world').

That sounds like how pretty much every kebab place does it. The specific meat (mix) isn't going to be the same, but it does seem like it matches your requirement of a big non-natural looking meat blob that they cook and shave off bits. But the 'bread' type wrap around the outside is going to vary.

I think search has just gotten worse. Those emails of yours are probably still there somewhere - you just can't find them, even if you just page back chronologically.

In other variations, after a kids party, we started making gnome bread and elf bread with various seeds and peanut butter on bread or rice/corn thins - to redirect the begging for fairy bread.

I have really enjoyed the developmental stuff you have released, but listened to them separately - and years down the line. When you can see what the initial idea was and then what it became.

So good! So intense I could only watch it as a binge.

I am not sure where you mean by up here, but Auckland's had them at supermarkets. And the Warehouse. And the malls. To the point that near me, there are three in one mall plus another just across the road at the library. But then nothing for yonks as there aren't any mail boxes anywhere.

Not everyone gets a tree, I think it depends on where/when you do your ceremony, but family have received kōwhai.

Charter schools have been in before in NZ, then the government changed and they integrated all the charter schools into the state system. Government changed again, going back rightwards, and Act have brought them back again.

How big are the club rugby games held in those places? The sense I have gotten is that NZ club rugby (super + NPC), the attendance at the game is not on the same scale as Europe.

It's probably because you are looking at too small a part of the picture. 35k expected is about a sell out for Wellington (from a quick google). The stadium can't hold more. Why aren't the stadiums bigger then? Well outside of one or two international rugby games a year, a bigger stadium is too big.

Eh, at least it isn't the aussie one again.

You went to Tobe didn't you?

After talking about this topic over dinner this evening, my daughter said she wants some only te reo readers (the ones from the local library aren't enough for her). At least for us, the change is having the opposite effect!

There are a heap of split keyboards out there. My personal favourite is the Glove80 (two bowled 40 key keyboards that link to each other and your pc wirelessly). It can be a bit DIY to work out what level of tenting you need and what's the best way to achieve it - like long adjustable legs or stands

And always be prepared with a mihi or similar as manuhiri - if going to a pōwhiri (and specific situations allow eg wāhine at some marae). The last few I have been to, people are very hesitant to stand up. But everyone has been really kind and welcoming of my attempts.

Or sign, or type. I think I have even seen evidence of accents in animals like dogs and hyenas that do a lot of vocal communication. You could even make an argument for song birds that have a lot of learned song - like tūī.
