Suffering from bronchitis I couldn’t walk far at the Quiraing on Saturday morning, so with the tree being within five minutes of the car park, I thought ‘why not’ and it definitely turned out to be a good choice.

From a sunrise walk up Stob Ban, looking along the ridge with Glen Nevis in the distance and Ben Nevis to the right.
The incoming cloud was amazing and I was also drawn to the snow pattern - what to me looks like a horse lying on its side.

Definitely not an afternoon for tripods on this day in Torridon. We were at this one particular area for around 2.5 hours, where most of that time was spent with our backs to the driving rain, in what must have been at least 40mph winds.

Upon reaching the highest point of a mountain trail in Torridon last week and with a very strong wind hitting me from behind, it was a case of bracing myself as much as possible to capture the light, mood and atmosphere in the distance, along with a small portion of a rainbow. #landscapephotography
