We only know this man is in Gitmo because Noem tweeted a propaganda photo that included him and his sister saw it. He has no criminal record. He entered the US in January and immediately made an appointment with CBP to claim asylum. They sent him to a concentration camp bc of his basketball tattoo.

This article shines a light into the shadow that is Corpus Christi local government. This isn't coincidence. It's time for an overhaul in our city's leadership starting with the city council and city manager.

Vote for a new direction in the next election. It'll be here before you know it.

Received a letter from POTUS today purporting to remove me as Commissioner and Chair of the FEC. There's a legal way to replace FEC commissioners-this isn't it. I've been so fortunate to serve the American people and stir up some good trouble along the way. That's not changing anytime soon.

To organizers,

Chronically ill people may not have a perfect voting record, but it doesn't mean we don't care! Even with 2 weeks or more of early voting, not feeling well enough to go downstairs and stand in line can last months.

Don't hold it against us as if we're lesser voters. Ok, good talk.

I was looking over Corpus Christi's new Drought Contingency Plan for '25 (a year after it was supposed to be updated). The highlighted bit is interesting because the city's population only grew by 12,648 from 2010-20 & it SHRANK from 2020-23 by 1,268 people.

I've lost count of the number of times I haven't gone to a march or done the start and end but driven between and gotten "the look."

We know the one. It's the "You lazy fuck. I guess it's not worth as much to you or you're too good to march" look.

Don't give that look.
Include disabled people in your resistance planning. In many ways we’re built for resistance, as we have to find creative and sustainable ways to survive every single day.

This is the time for intersectionality and community care. We need to work together and save one another.

This will kill people around the world.
We worked for months with USAID to build an $85,000,000 project to end TB in two regions of the Philippines.

The project is funded by private money, the Philippine government, and matching USAID funds.

It could provide a blueprint for eliminating TB worldwide--except it's...not happening.
