This is why DJT and the GOP will defund FEMA. They could care less. They’ll just jet off to Mexico or the Greek Islands for a “holiday,” and leave the rest of us behind to struggle.

-Sharp reductions to Medicaid
-Possible disruptions to Soc. Sec.

My point here is that Democrats are seen by voters as fighting for “them” and not “us.”
Dems need to start fighting hard to create better economic outcomes for the majority (workers and small biz owners to the front of the line)

Does the administration view tariffs as the new “sales tax”? That it to ask, is the real motivation behind tariffs to use them as a means to shift the tax burden from the rich (via income tax) to thr middle/working class (via tariffs that are paid for by ordinary consumers)?
