The billionaire class doesn’t want to pay for FEMA. When disaster strikes, they’ll take a private jet to a vacation home, while their minions fly commercial.

Nick’s going to heat up during the playoffs. I can feel it.

Let’s be clear: Trump and the GOP want people to die premature deaths because they believe that billionaires shouldn’t have to pay taxes to keep the old, infirm and other assorted “losers” alive.

This is why DJT and the GOP will defund FEMA. They could care less. They’ll just jet off to Mexico or the Greek Islands for a “holiday,” and leave the rest of us behind to struggle.

Ha! “Leather Retreat” became a swingers event back in 2010!

But, it’s fine. Let everyone explore and find what is right for them.

Can someone remind me when during the campaign DJT promised inflation, unemployment and destroying Medicare?

I’m not sure that humiliation is part of it at all. In my view, it’s about wanting to be cute, desirable and loved.
March 12, 2025 at 8:50 PM
I was thinking more big picture, and thinking about DJT and the whole GOP.

-Discourage vaccines
-Sharp reductions to Medicaid
-Possible disruptions to Soc. Sec.

Have they decided that the “underclass” should just be allowed to perish?

Slightly off topic… but does DJT want poor/infirmed people to die?

Do they view such people as costs that can be eliminated?

My point here is that Democrats are seen by voters as fighting for “them” and not “us.”

Dems need to start fighting hard to create better economic outcomes for the majority (workers and small biz owners to the front of the line)

Well said.

We also need to consider the odds of one bad outcome in relation to other bad outcomes.

If there is a 1% chance of contracting Covid/death if you don’t take the vaccine, against a 0.1% chance of an adverse vaccine reaction, then you take the vaccine every time, right?

Someone believes that the answer to my question is “yes.”

Opinion | What This Tariff War Is Really About
President Trump is remaking the tax code to favor the well-off even more and cloaking these changes in a veneer of nationalism.

Does the administration view tariffs as the new “sales tax”? That it to ask, is the real motivation behind tariffs to use them as a means to shift the tax burden from the rich (via income tax) to thr middle/working class (via tariffs that are paid for by ordinary consumers)?
