This one feels like required listening for everyone in the hobby. Rules are the part of games that gets glossed over, and as a result there's so much room for exploration and growth there.
As a rule, I try to fund something nice to say about every game I review. Galactic Renaissance is an overproduced nightmare that I dreaded even thinking about.

While most deckbuilders are about honing your deck to a hypereffecient millimeter-thick points engine, For Glory asks its players to throw a bunch of disparate cards into a sock and try to beat each other to death with the result.

Gonna repeat this one more time for the people in the back: if a game requires house rules to be worth playing, it's a flawed product. You've already paid for a luxury; why are you letting the publisher off the hook? Wild when I get responses citing house rules about my negative reviews.
