Yeah, whatever adjustment is made without Salah seems to make the team more compact (4-4-2 diamond or something like it). Dom seems quieter than normal, but it's an acceptable tradeoff.

Something seems to be working, but it could be a little better. Macca seems absolutely gassed. I'd give him a run of games out of the XI, with Jones/Endo instead. Gomez at RB seems to be working well. Wirtz has run this match at times.

I think the intensity change requires a personnel adjustment. I'd swap out MacAllister for Endo.

Maybe I'm wrong, but attempted tackles probably does on some level indicate pressing success. Even if you lose a tackle, you might force your opponent out for a throw right?

I think the pressing is worse (see tackles) and therefore we don't win the ball as high up the field/our midfield is blasted through quicker, which then leads to the progression issue we also see in the data. If we win the ball 5 yards higher 5 more times a game, it will create better chances.

#lfc are not attempting or winning enough tackles this season. Last season they attempted 14 tackles/game, this 9 tackles/game. Win rate is nearly identical, and it's not a shift to interceptions, which season over season are similar enough (7.9/game vs 7.3/game). Win more tackles, win more games.

Gakpo hits the target 15% of the time. Dom is taking too many shots. Konate shouldn't shoot. This is a weird take, but I'm kinda convinced that part of the issue is that we've not been able to get Mac Allister into the lineup often enough. I think he changes everyone's position enough to fix this.
