Had a look around Our Lady of the Rosary Saltley today. Did you know that the marble fixtures were finally delivered (after the Italian stonemason's company went bust) thanks to a personal meeting between the parish priest and Benito Mussolini?

@wsc.co.uk @camsell59.bsky.social I'm in Horncastle Lincs for a concert (Britten's "St Nicolas" appropriately) and heard a full-time whistle at an odd time of the afternoon. Turns out Horncastle Town Reserves were playing a local derby at the fabulously-named "The Wong" in a 2:15 kick-off
