Been trying to draw again to clear my brain, this is something I worked up today off an old sketch I found in my stuff. It's more of a color study or mockup, there'd need to be some changes if it were a published work, such as the directions of the swirls and the mouth, etc.

Okay, climate crises are "over-prioritized"? More area in LA County burned in January than was destroyed when the A-bomb dropped on Hiroshima in WWII, and it's an "over-priority"? There are so many people that I could unleash obscenities on right now but I want an early bedtime.
The group, called Welcome, consulted hundreds of thousands of voters over six months for its broad findings, including that 70% of voters think the Democratic Party is “out of touch.” Most voters, the group found, believe the party over-prioritizes issues like “protecting the rights of LGBTQ+ Americans,” and “fighting climate change” while not caring about “securing the border” or “lowering the rate of crime.” (Welcome began as a PAC in 2022, then founded a nonprofit with the same name for political research.) Elected Democrats will receive copies of the report after its Monday publication, followed by events to promote it in DC and New York. Sometimes it feels like maybe I don’t deserve happiness. That I’m too much of a freak, that again someone will have loud music and I’ll be a “serial killer” if I don’t like it like previously mentioned, or that I’m too angry and frustrated with everything and might lash out at them and hurt them, become the next Stephen Siciliano. I hate parties and drinking and substance use, one way I unclench my brain is reading books like “Robot Ghosts and Wired Dreams” and another is by reading Wikipedia article son things like mechanical pencils. I honestly did not know who Bad Bunny was until the Super Bowl announcement, I like music like Vanilla Fudge and Shonen Knife and such, I just can’t listen to work like Biggie or Doja Cat or the Beastie Boys but “Weight of Love”, “Ummon”, “Found God in a Tomato”, “Young Men Dead” by the Black Angels, I can. And saying that all took effort because of my fear that it could make me look like a jerk in response. This is a very small thing but I think the canonical ending to Injustice 2 should be what I term “Absolute Hope”, where Supergirl intervenes earlier to stop Bats and Supes before they could fight, meaning tensions have a chance to cool and the civil war among the Justice League doesn’t restart. Buccaneer boots, I would try them, like Captain America or the Jay Garrick Flash in that game. I keep having moments of doubt with social media such as Reddit like if some stuff on some subs are really just rumors, and other times like how much everyone on Bluesky hate each other, and that time on Threads I asked about alcohol solution on nanotexture glass since I was following the directions that came with a laptop, and someone kept calling me stupid for even doing that even after I showed them the instructions. And my happiness when spending days watching movies instead that I've noticed.

Part 5.
I am a pretty miserable person. It's hard for me to pick up a sketchbook anymore. Feels like I'm invisible to the world, like when bringing up disappointment in a newsletter for something or other and posting about it on Bluesky, and realizing that not only did no one see it, but that also the video I did to promote Hollywood Book and Poster on YouTube and didn't have as much impact as I thought. I really want people to visit the store to help them, and I don't know if I can help. Switching topics, I also just get tired of Bluesky, and Threads, social media and newsletters. I want to see something like an info shop in Seattle, I want to read physical books and get ideas while reading, something. I feel like I’ve gotten more left-wing with age, I don’t trust power and indirect and how removed the people in office can be from listening for one, while it seems the world around me But also, I get tired because it’s like in the old days on Wikipedia, wanting more outside of what’s already there, wanting to figure out how to create stars that are on empty spots on the HR diagram. Millions, billions of unexplored possibilities. I have honestly not watched the last few seasons of Bob’s Burgers of Futurama, the former I’m scared of the change in dialogue and if it’s become more of a dramedy. The latter, the ads for the Hulu revival just felt flat and the attempts at “topics’ like streaming felt weird so I gave up, same with King of the Hill.

I actually think James Gunn is overrated and I don’t care to go into more detail. Although I will also add on a related note that I feel a lot of comics discourse focuses on style over substance and the world like in a wiki and so on. (For example the earlier endless “Silver Age vs Dark and Gritty” stuff, and frankly the Taschen books too, and the generic “comic book style” used on shows like Mythbusters on some of their episodes.) I was diagnosed on the autism spectrum when I was a baby and yet I always have doubts and never really related. Never knew anyone else on the spectrum as a kid or teen, except for a group for a study and another as a limited support group. But I was never as personable or talkative as them, even at a workplace I was at for a time which hired specifically, anyway like even at work parties everyone was more comfortable talking with each other and I had a minor panic attack and didn’t really talk with anyone for too long. I just also don’t know what special interests I have and I’m not with them or something. I feel like a fraud. I’ve always felt alone in so many ways. Like how I ever seemed to be the only one who had complaints like those against TV Tropes, or how I ever seemed to be the only one who read the articles I posted on r/politics instead of just the headlines, or annoyed by the loud music played on the bus (that I got called a “serial killer” for and told In need to listen to more music when I complained), or in wondering if nations don’t even exist and are just ways to cause artificial division, or in how I feel like a freak when no one else on apnea forums and elsewhere have ever had the problem of CPAP making their legs go hyper and jumpy.

prank, Parks and Rec forgetting about the first Newport sibling and Mark and the overall bullying of Gary, Brooklyn 99 forgetting about Podolski and Karen Peralta and so many others, or not seeing how hateable characters like Boyle’s ex-wife and the Swedes would be and dismissing Jake’s character development when back in season 8, etc. And Futurama too, did the writers decide to memory-hole Marianne in order to have Zoidberg be alone again? It’s frustrating being unable to ask any of the writers and find out, at a certain point stuff like this feels like a conspiracy. I’ve always felt Metal Gear was superior in story and gameplay mechanics to Call of Duty, though V had so much cut out that I wish wasn’t. I feel like there is potential for a Facebook and Instagram and Threads “modding” community or something, given how lousy the QA has become, how they keep doing stuff like taking schoolgirl’s Instagram posts for ads for Threads, etc., and yet we keep using it and have almost two decades of data and memories stored in it, birthdays, etc. that just makes it near-impossible to let go. On a related topic, I think there is a need to reinvent the daily or weekly newspaper in social media, in this era of things like media outlets which sanewash the regime and try to keep stuff like how power-grabby/lied-filled things like the East Wing demolition really are. I think the Clippers and the LA Galaxy should be fan-owned like the Packers. I think we can certainly do better than the owners of each team at the moment and I’m sick of the ultra-rich buying these teams up, who don’t care about the teams while raking in the cash or spending it to break the rules. I wish I were more “counterculture.”

And I think about TV Tropes like it’s such a boring website like for example I looked up “Disneyfication” because I looked at a book earlier on the ink and paint women in the early days of the studio, then thought about how JRR Tolkien hated Disney’s dumbing down of stuff and then I thought about Disney's childhood in the Defunctland documentaries, and how did it happen? Could they have talked? But there’s no info on why or how it came about, it’s like there’s whole beheld. The scenes that goes into what turns out right or wrong (like GH being too old for the time skip on King of the Hill). And the The annoying cutesy names to holier-than-thou and judgmental and that “disappointed mom/you’re an idiot for ever watching this” tone (again like Mythbusters, an example in here https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Recap/BrooklynNineNineS3E17AdrianPimento) Honestly Wikipedia and fandom wikis are usually much better, in tone and info (I do hate that stuff like obscure educational/propaganda films only have pages on TT though, and not Wikipedia). And I hate that I spend so much time on it, because I need information constantly. And it’s not just recent either, for years after The Last of Us came out on PS3, I avoided looking at any pages related to it since it just felt, like it’d look “cheaper” or something, it’s above stuff they normally do. (Thinking about other obnoxious pieces from the old days of the early 2010s as well for some reason, like Annalee Newitz’s retrospective on Godzilla for iO9 or just general decisions on Comics Alliance. I still think Chris Sims was still wrong about Arkham City’s story). On a different side of the same die, is there something about becoming a TV writer that makes obvious things so hard to see? Let me just start by saying that I have always hated my birthday, for a multitude of reasons. So I’m just gonna say what I want, I just really want to be authentic and I have been building up this for a long time, otherwise it will just keep imploding. I feel so frustrated at just so much and I’m so old and I guess, this is both an airing of complaints and confession, really I guess it's more for myself to finally say it out. No one has to read this, just for the record, it's all me trying to get through this day. I feel like I've pushed everyone away and don’t reach out, I can’t because I’ll be rejected for being an dick or for forgetting about them, I can’t talk like normal people and need to say to someone, anyone out there because it’s the void, and I’ve said so much already on other sites like Reddit and Bluesky that will never matter. And I think I have realized one reasons why I need to say it out loud for validation, because I hate being secretive, and hate people not knowing what is with me so they just think I’m a weirdo, etc.
