I… I think I’m penpals with Tom Hanks?

Typewriter enthusiasts in the typosphere (or type-o-verse) won’t be particularly surprised, because apparently this is just what Tom Hanks does, but I’M surprised.

I haven’t even told him about @movieviral.com yet!

Very happy with the latest iteration of SometimesWeekly.com. I’m still building the site for desktop, but the recent work has made the site much more mobile friendly. Slightly more organized and new navigation prompts at the end of (most) Entries.

Next up: long-overdue accessibility improvements.

But it seems I know the man well. Too well. I really wish he would leave me alone.

I recently documented my 16 Years of Winning vs. Donald Trump for Sometimes Weekly: sometimesweekly.com/2025/06/16-years-of-winning-vs-donald-trump/

On June 14, 2009, I faux quoted Trump as saying, “my decision in the end will be based off how much money I can make and I may say he can keep it, only to change my decision a few weeks later.”

The week of June 14, 2025 has been interesting.

16 years ago, when I was 16 years old, I wrote a satirical news article about Donald Trump deliberating over whether or not to decrown Iran’s president.

Luckily, my comedic deficiencies are largely masked by a strange prescience: web.archive.org/web/20090617...

Here’s a different kind of article, similar to some of my earliest posts on @sometimesweekly.com.

This piece includes artifacts (physical and digital) that date back to June 14, 2009 (and beyond). Let me know what you think!

How do they tunnel through, you ask?

Well,

The typewriter community is great, very much like the ARG community. Since starting to collect typewriters, I’ve joined typepals.com and have had great experiences.

It’s reassuring to know there are other people out there trying to escape this digital hellscape!

Me when my boss didn’t codify Roe or close Guantanamo Bay when he had a supermajority in Congress but want people to forget that and think about Joe Biden some more

Thoughts on Elon Musk from December 2022 that remain relevant today.

I don’t have much to say about what’s happening in America today, with respect to Trump/Musk/etc., because I spent 2022-2024 expressing how I feel and sharing my analysis on social media and SometimesWeekly.com.

In the new year, let’s hope my writing can find its way back to humor & storytelling.

I co-founded MovieViral in 2009 when I was 15, though nobody knew my age at the time. We sold the site in 2015 to two eccentric British men, and I bought it back in 2023.

Here’s a series of very serious and official press releases you may have missed:
