I think you've overlooked the fact that all of those 2-2 draws were declared moral England victories.

Sounds and looks awful!

My favourite part of that story is that Lorraine messaged her on Facebook but an 18 year old didn't know enough about FB to message back.

I also have a target 🎯 let's see how my discipline is

Haha that's good. I walk up Mauao very early some days and do the same thing!

In the UK - small hatchbacks doing 100mph on the M4. In Aotearoa - getting a great coffee at the airport

That's the way, get the exercise in early in the day especially with the heatwave that is hitting. I have faith in you

Hope there are no complications.

Every day is a great day to stay off the internet!

.... not to mention for most display ads (the ones that appear on websites, on apps, in games, Gmail etc etc), most of the clicks that a company gets will be accidental. I've seen it for multiple clients because their analytics will report it.
January 7, 2026 at 6:47 PM
Google asks for multiple headlines, descriptions and images/videos and then uses them to put up ads in all sorts of places - you cannot control which of them that Google uses. Hence you'll often see an ad appear which (as you say) doesn't give you a whole heap of information.

I'm also a 30 year web veteran, can still remember when there used to be a print magazine of new websites ....

Ads into AI Overviews is presumably Google's plan but not many click through from it so as you say - it could be their own demise
January 7, 2026 at 3:49 AM
I'm glad it's not!
January 7, 2026 at 3:40 AM
I have worked with companies with large amounts of organic traffic and it is always about having good content that has been online for a while. And they have seen their organic drop 35%+ since the AI Overview

I manage Google Ads for a few businesses, they would get very little web traffic otherwise. And it does get leads. But Google Ads is set up to take your budget, it is very easy to get stung.

I also do SEO and for most companies, it is not worth investing in it. Just make sure of the basic setup.

Probably you more than me!
January 5, 2026 at 4:13 PM
I'm pleased it isn't serious

I pine for the days when batters would prioritise not getting out instead of slogging as many runs as they can before their inevitable dismissal.
