I really feel for you having to deal with this unhinged lunatic for so many years. Who has that much time on their hands to get so mad over Star Wars of all things?

Potter, though, the school stuff was such an essential part of the story and the characters’ lives that it doesn’t work without it and that’s why it’s a problem to try to expand beyond that.

I feel like X-Men has done this right though. It was able to keep up with the times and people still like it because (at least in the comics and some of the cartoons) it evolved beyond the school setting into being more about the “found family against the world” aspect.

My home state and somehow I went my whole life without knowing this.

I have too. Who is it?

Your game overthinker video calling them out for the whole Oliver North thing is still one of my favorites from you. Summed it up better than almost anyone else.

Can’t wait for the professional box office analysts of the web to tell us this means the movie actually sucks. 😒

The Long Walk was such a surprise for me. I was honestly shocked by how good it was. Best dystopia movie I’ve seen in a hot minute.

People saw one video essay about “member berries” and now think any fan service of any kind is automatically a negative. No critical thought at all, I swear.

Even as somebody who likes (maybe even would go as far as loves in a few cases) the Clone Wars show, I do get where he’s coming from in that intro and why some people who dislike the prequels still don’t vibe with it no matter how good it is. Don’t agree necessarily but I do understand.

The Big Lebowski might legit be one of the best movies ever made. It’s so absurd in such a specific way and that just does it for me.

It’s a very interesting experiment in what happens when someone has absolutely zero creative oversight of any kind and $200 million dollars at his disposable. It’s kind of perversely fascinating in that way.

I’m to the point where I’m actively blocking people now. 5 years of this is long enough.
January 7, 2026 at 12:31 AM
For the record, I’m talking the cancelled projects and the streaming bubble bursting and everything, not the idiotic things like “W0keNesS” the grifters are worried about.

I don’t hate Filoni but people were vilifying Kathleen Kennedy to a truly ridiculous degree and making her the bogeyman when most of the bad stuff that happened in the Star Wars brand as of late was purely circumstantial and not on her.
January 6, 2026 at 10:28 PM
Like there isn’t that much daylight between that stuff and the callbacks in the MCU. Let’s be real here.
January 6, 2026 at 10:17 PM
Also, people praising the member berries in the M:I movies, especially the nods to I and III in the most recent ones. I liked those so this isn’t so much a criticism of the movies themselves. More the reaction from certain corners of the web.

“Glup shitto” was always lazy armchair criticism that immediately got co-opted and misused by the most insufferable people in film discourse. The sooner we let that term die the better.

Probably still my favorite animated series of all time tbh. Nothing else like it.

I honestly truly can’t believe I ever watched this man.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: silver and Bronze Age Superman covers were the OG clickbait and I love them for that.

He’s a brilliant writer but he’s also insanely bitter. Initially I sympathized (because what happened with Watchmen was shady to be sure) but at this point, he’s doing it to himself. I’m sick to death of morons on here using his bitterness as a thought terminating cliche to dismiss an entire genre

Also T’Challa and Nakia’s kid from the end of Wakanda Forever could be a factor in this too if you’re right about the thru-line here.

Yeah, I’m gonna wait until we have something more concrete before making any definitive statements but this seems like a fake out more than anything else.
