First book of the year finished and it's a belter. Probably missed some of the references and literary gags but made up for it by picking up the ATV, Crass and Poison Girls lines

Last gig of the week- Industry ( Berlin) in Bristol. I like his band, though slightly staggered that they are influenced by Exit-Stance who were pretty obscure even back in the pretty obscure world of 80s anarcho- punk. Been a good week.

Found myself at a loose end last night so went to see Wiccans and Traumatizer in a tiny basement in Bristol. Traumatizer were particularly pulverizing. Next up Industry on Saturday.

Thoroughly enjoyed The Saints 73-78 in Bristol last night. I'd forgotten how many great songs they had, highlight was a storming run through of Know Your Product with full brass section. Glad I finally made my mind up to go.

Rainy day sorting out my messy record collection, seems I have a taller collection of Nomeansno than Cardiacs. Though, had I remembered to add my copy of LSD would have been a Cardiacs victory as it's about a foot thick.

Fantastic weekend in Belgium following Dead Bob around for a couple of gigs, great mix of their stuff and a few Nomeansno classics. Great to see John Wright drumming again.

Been both excited and slightly apprehensive about new Cardiacs stuff. Happy to say both Woodeneye and Downup are belters. Still wonder what they'd sound like with Tim at the controls and on vocals though.

Found myself unexpectedly emotional watching Geraint Thomas on his last stage of his career in Cardiff today. Glad I managed to get to the Tumble to see him yesterday.
