I managed to get it working on the Mac! I might fiddle around and add a WASD + mouse mode as an alternative to Gamepad input

That looks fantastic! I guess there are probably ways to accelerate it, but it’s not worth the time because this is more of a proof of concept ?

To my mind, the only value in preserving old domain data would be that Google or whoever replace the old site’s entries with the new, but that seems incredibly unlikely

It's deployed, albeit temporarily, to exif.recoil.org. It's the first time I've experimented with PWA, and it Just Works (tm). Svelte and Vite are great.

The biggest false-start was the initial library chosen (Exif-HEIC.js) didn't have typescript bindings, and it got into a horrible pickle trying to mix JS and TS code. In the end I got it to use exifr, as it worked with fine with HEIC. Then the only hand tweaks were to the table layout.

That’s both lovely, and also reminds me I have some of my old cards somewhere too. Chemicals are one problem, sure, but spare a thought for “forever clutter”. Once it enters the household, it can never be remover

Yeah that has less immediately problematic implications. I should try putting the name of the book as a big horizontal bar in the background
