Mine has been just this bad recently. Wonder if it's cause I don't use it as much so they're trying to get as much ad revenue from me as possible

Should have a "shame" one for accounts that have their website in their bio but not as their handle. Even more so for ones that applied & got verified with their .bsky.social handle.

(mostly kidding cause this irks me slightly)

Moreover, Skylight is an app to view/post videos on Bluesky. Same content, different interface, requires Bluesky to function.

I think using "atproto" should be abandoned honestly. ATP internally, social domain handle/account for regular consumers. Just spit balling.
Just a thought, why are we calling it ATProto instead of ATP? Wouldn't that mean the web runs on HTTProto? TCProto/IProto?
December 18, 2025 at 8:32 PM
Yeah, "ATProto" doesn't make sense in the context of every other protocol.

You literally plug the thing into the back of your console, no special parts needed and not any more difficult than plugging in an HDMI cable.

And not even just your number, but they hash the pair of yours and each contact's number to actually make it harder to crack.

It's nvme SSD at the same spec as the on-board storage with a port made to accommodate the required I/O. Made simpler than having to take apart the console to slot an m2 nvme for those not familiar/comfortable.

Was thinking hashing numbers was a good way to do this securely, appreciated the explainer in the writeup!

FYI there's a bug where the app crashes when there's two feeds with the same name pinned to the top.

In my case, I have the Bluesky "Discover" feed in position 2, then another "Discover" feed farther right.

When I swipe horizontally on the top feeds, it crashes. Doesn't happen when I unpin it.

If what was suggested doesn't work, you can use this too

I work in IT so I see this a lot, most end users understand "URL" but not "domain". That's changing however thanks to a lot of cyber security training.

tbf Philips Hue Bridges support Matter but you need their app for initial setup (unless that's changed).

I can block people on Tiktok; control is the same. The focus now should be making a great short-form video app, not adding a shopping experience. And if they're paid to sell, who cares about viewership payout.

The app in its current state is in no way ready to be adding secondary features like this
December 13, 2025 at 11:56 PM
But first you absolutely need to land a solid experience with your app. You're at 2 stars on the Play Store. A lack of communication plus a ton of bugs trying to rush this out isn't helping.

I seriously wish you the best in your efforts with this but please make a viable app before trying all this.

I don't think a Tiktok Shop clone is a good first step. It created "influencers" attempting to sell junk to everyone just so they could earn a buck.

A better first step would be a paid tier where users can unlock more tools/features in your app.
December 13, 2025 at 11:38 PM
I'd probably say lost ad revenue from a decent chunk of users

Cis white male here, keep up the awesome work Rudy.

Jumping in to note that this is not an Android feature, but rather a Samsung-added feature in their flavor of it.
