...several overlapping security libraries (OpenSSL AND mBed TLS), the Realm synchronisable database, a lot of shared code and various other LG libraries. There's lots going on, but it appears to cover all of LGs home product line, globally.

I wrote a Python script to help dig into the types of files that there are in this application. There are a set of heuristics we can apply to get an idea of what they are all doing.

Roughly half of the files are media and supporting content, and about half are code (application/x-mach-binary).

What you might not know is that a .ipa file is a zipfile which is decompressed on to your phone when the application is installed - a common method since the days of the BBS.

Decompressing the .ipa, you get a few subdirectories. The one we're interested in is called "Payload/LG Thinq.app"

The files downloaded and stored on device aren't really available to me without replicating the exact environment Colby has, so I'll have to concentrate on the .ipa file.

The .ipa file is 280Mb.

Today a mate and I climbed Pen y Holt stack. It’s on an artillery range, so you need to attend a special briefing to climb there. It was very special.
