In essence, our historical perspective is that not all propaganda is bad. The below image is a case in point

At my history dept, we run with “information or materials produced by a government or political organisation that is designed to make you think or behave in a certain way.” Our English department has a very different definition that causes a fair bit of confusion amongst students.

But then someone would visit and say, wow, that’s a great idea - I’m going to use it
