I think it's incredibly difficult to garner any interest in other team sports in the UK with the hold football has. Even rugby is really struggling these days. Cricket is constantly trying to gimmick itself out of a hole. The chances of things like handball and lacrosse punching through seem slim.

Whilst I agree with your sentiment, it's not only the right wing who think Starmer is absolutely hashing this up so far

The issue with all these things is that for some reason no one in the media challenges anything managers say, even when they're obvious BS. So managers have carte blanche to spin whatever narrative they want, and referees end up bearing the brunt even when they've got something correct.

Listening to Chelsea v Leeds commentary, multiple rounds of JS chants from the Chelsea fans. Why is this so rarely called out? Is it not tantamount to tragedy chanting? Bearing in mind many of his victims will still be alive, hearing his name used for "football bantz" every week must be horrendous.

I think to this point it's difficult to argue Farke hasn't been vindicated. Maybe Roberts aside given how that season ended.

It was merely a point of compromise. I would gladly see all education free. Don't assume so much of people from so little evidence, that's what X is for.

Well, as with all our current issues there is large shiny, gold plated, elephant in an offshore room somewhere, that could make funding all sorts of things a lot easier.

So make the distinction. It shouldn't be beyond the gift of an advanced society to say "ok, you can study these particular things for free, because we see them as universally beneficial". Too often we take an all or nothing approach these days.

There is no evidence of that yet. So far we've improved every season since they took full control.

There is no bar so low that Leeds Utd couldn't find a way to sidle under it 😄. Though I think the current regime could argue a pretty good hit rate so far (I'll accept Perri and Okafor as solid counterarguments). Just got to trust them until it doesn't work, then we can dust off the pitchforks...

Ah yes less successful perhaps in terms of signings. But sometimes not signing someone is a better option too - see last January vs signing JKA a few years back. I think generally people all too readily dismiss the signings of the good players we all like.
