Wow, that's quite a flying, full throttle start! Mine was a soft start, skinny dipping and sauna at a lake with my university class. It was clothing optional and I'm glad I opted to go nude.

Yep, presence and tactility are major reasons why I like being naked. Feeling the world more intensely makes you feel more alive.

I've heard about naked dancing (and added it to my bucket list!), but taking off all your flesh and dancing in your mere bones is taking it to the next level ☺️

I also wonder who came up with the date? Given the potential to ruin clothes, it should be celebrated in the summer, when you don't need any.

Was it cold? The colour of the leaves and the length of the shadows makes me think you had to keep a high pace to keep warm.

My first clothing optional beach visit was on a Danish one, which is more than 3 km long. So 6+ km round trip. 🌞
At the turn-back-point, I wondered whether my clothes would still be where I left them...

Viewed from afar, America seems so bewildering: there's insane levels of gymnophobia, but then there's also Bare to Breakers and Fremont Solstice (I'd love to see something like Fremont Solstice in Europe).

-> All ages bared it, from 20 to 80. What's more, there were all body types, so nobody was intimidated by the idea of others "looking better".

Maybe a glimmer of hope: I went to a somewhat spiritual event in Denmark this summer. The people there are not quite representative of mainstream Denmark, but they're not on the fringes either. The beach on the event grounds was ca 90% nude which is an improvement from 5 years ago. ->

Are they less prude in Canada? Here, most young folks don't even shower after the gym.

Ever since I was a kid, newspapers have run articles about naturist clubs in the summers. So, my prejudices about naturism are about volleyball and camper trailers.

I found it helpful to look at who the large and serious naturist accounts follows, and then follow what they follow.
That gave me a good Following-feed and reposts from followed accounts helped in discovering what other accounts to follow.
