Labour councillor for Audenshaw (Tameside Council)🌹

BHAFC fan in Greater Manchester, lover of heavy metal, wordle enthusiast. Husband and Dad. Likes a castle to visit, spends much of a day shouting at spreadsheets. Wunt be druv.
A privilege to represent Audenshaw at our Remembrance ceremonies this weekend and to attend the parade in Ashton today.

We will remember them.

Last night I voted for the biggest upgrade to workers’ rights in a generation.

Today, this Labour government is one step closer to delivering it👇🏻

Farage at his press conference: “Free speech does not include incitement to kill.”

Fully agree. But then why did he invite a woman who called for people to burn down hotels with migrants inside to speak at his conference?

If you're considering calling it quits, just hang on. It may not seem like it right now, but better things are waiting for you just around the corner.

Please have a chat with someone you know, or give the Samaritans a bell on 116 123 (they're really lovely).

You matter.

What utter dickheads we are…

Rayner fought for workers: sick pay, maternity rights, protection from unfair dismissal

Farage and his MPs voted it down

Rayner gets binned over £40k in stamp duty

Farage dodges £44k, shrugs & strolls on

The mega wealthy win again.

Wonderful demolition of Farage the free speech imposter from @raskin.house.gov - thank you!
Nigel Farage looks uncomfortable as Jamie Raskin uses his opening statement to absolutely demolish him

Whilst there are issues with the immigration system, can we not at least agree that creating return deals with the Taliban of all people could be politely described as sociopathic? (As well as several less polite descriptions…)

Utter garbage. She was a prisoner, nothing political about it. Reasonable people can disagree on any given sentence but the facts are clear:
- she incited serious violence
- PM did exactly nothing
- she went to jail because of what SHE did: committing a crime + pleading guilty

Cruel way to lose. Next season it’s the title, Stockport. Good luck to Orient for the final.

This is their priority??? Ridiculous time-wasting nonsense just to try and throw some red meat to their base, just making them look petty and ridiculous (setting aside arguments about county flags, social issues and solidarity with Ukraine).
Politics latest: Row over Reform plan to ban some flags from being flown
After sweeping to power in councils across England in last week's local elections, Reform says it will ban non-British flags from flying over buildings now in its control.

Most people see Musks activities at Doge as a disaster, causing untold problems to America. Farage sees them as inspiration. Never let him forget this.

It’s actually incredible just how bad their media management is. I’m sure it plays well with the MAGA loyalists, but the election is over . All they’re doing is ensuring that this story stays in the public eye for longer.

"Team Trump has adopted a crisis management strategy of attack, discredit and distract", writes Sky's US correspondent Martha Kelner.

Horrifying to see the news in Gaza this morning. I don’t know how we get the ceasefire back in place after this, let alone a two state solution, but it’s imperative we do both urgently for the civilians caught in the middle of this devastation.
