The Wedding Present is right up my alley and would probably be a favorite if I'd heard it years ago. Still, Indigo Girls is kind of a masterpiece of MOR. If I had the time today to listen to both in full I'd probably vote Bizarro but I will have to abstain.

Personally I was negatively polarized by Joe Carducci, he doesn't get enough credit/blame for excessive rockism. But I still don't find Beyonce interesting and I don't really feel like poptimism has raised the boats of the kind of pop I do like.

I'm in the process of moving and I failed to do this in advance, with the result being that 75% of my stuff left by truck on Tuesday and I'm still here trying to sort/clean/pack the rest. When I do finish I have dozens of boxes of stuff I don't actually need to cull after I've paid to move it.

MAGA is objectively disastrous for America and the rational choice for anyone who isn't bribing Trump, conservative or not, is to vote Dem in every race for the foreseeable future. The people here who expect Democratic politicians to be trying to convince them otherwise are going to be disappointed.

That was true 25 years ago too, performers would tour strip clubs and make dates that accounted for a lot of their income.

I've been unblocking the many many people I hair-trigger blocked for poor jokes or old gifs and when I see that some of them blocked me back I feel a little bad that they noticed, but I support their decision.

Speaking of the Portuguese, I remember visiting a friend who'd moved to Fall River in 8th grade and hearing "Portagee" for the first time. MA has forms of racism I hadn't even dreamed of.

I have a friend from central MA, his family bathed in the creek 3 seasons a year because their hot water came from the wood stove, and they thought Ware was a shithole. It's still like 96% white but I guess they have some public housing.
