Someone just told my kid that there’s a shrimp called Harlequin who would cut off starfishes’ arms and eat it, while leaving the body intact so they could keep regenerating their arms and feed the shrimp forever. Just googled it and realised it’s true, I wished my pre-school was this insightful.

Wow you can actually earn decent money doing battles on Neopets now, 900NP for extreme mode. Looks like they are really serious making us old players stay on the site longer beyond the dailies that we have to do.

Got to give it to the indoctrination in Singapore, zero questioning about anything as long as it’s sensationalised enough. Just like how we managed to ban electric scooters for awhile until we realised how it actually affects the gig economy e.g., food delivery riders.

Omg what have I done, the first UB I got which I thought was up on the trading post just gone like that. What happened to the usual can't find any items to sludge or the many other items the algorithm can take to sludge. Thats millions of neopoints just gone like that!

Pitying everyone who thinks the exporting countries are the ones forking the bill, obviously the increase in cost is being passed down to the consumers. Not forgetting that these exporting countries are also starting to figure out ways to cut American market contribution due to the uncertainties.

My robo advisor (Syfe) newsletter sums it up pretty well for the winners & losers from the bill passed, to me it seems like a step back from how a society should be improving.

Opened LinkedIn after abandoning it for months, saw someone said this & it really hit home today. It’s even tougher when you’re running a social enterprise, having to constantly juggle your needs and dreams to make the world better. We are not billionaires, and we aren’t aiming to be one either.

She also told me off for wearing a red shirt with dragons on it, which I bought because this lunar year is the year of the dragon and red symbolises good fortune, and it would be really nice to wear something symbolic for some festivities sometimes. I had to stop wearing that whenever I’m with her.

My mother in law (staunch Christian) just told me she threw away this cup that my friend got for my kid as a gift, she said it’s demonic since it’s a dragon. My wife and me don’t know what to feel about it, but decided to nod and went into our room. This is filial piety at its peak, from us.

It’s funny when the government decides that the rising prices of subsidised housing by the government is because of the private market, and not because they allow the sale of subsidised housing in the open market. Why not raise the minimum occupancy period of subsidised housing to 20 years instead?

Crazy how someone who’s still taking PSLE (12yo usually) actually has 9k followers on her WhatsApp channel posting images of her room while she’s studying, where she’s often going for meals etc, while me as an adult has been hiding fearing that someone might stalk and kill me one day.

Some Singaporeans are saying that we should be learning from Malaysia rather than our blanket GST approach. Won’t doing this just simply make it harder for the average person to enjoy these “luxuries”? Wouldn’t just doing a higher tax for the rich or ultra rich makes more sense?

I’m starting to be convinced that billionaires are just ego-centric maniacs who can’t stand the thought of themselves dying and are just constantly thinking of ways to immortalise themselves through other means. Such as fathering an unnecessary amount of children.
