Took @patrickoduffy.bsky.social on a date to see the new Superman. My review is I was SO stressed the every second Krypto was on screen - worried something bad would happen to that disaster of a dog. I appreciate a Superman who cares about his (cousin’s) dog.

I’ve been putting off watching the third and final season of ‘Somebody Somewhere’ because it’s such a treasure, I didn’t want it to end. But today I gifted it to myself.
Now I’m a puddle. I think I just processed more emotions in 7 episodes than in years of therapy (and I have a great therapist).

We saw Laura Davis in her 2024 MICF show. Loved it. She’s done 12 years of MICF and I’ve managed to catch at least 8 of those. She never fails to be excellent with comedy that will make you laugh, think & get a little emotional. Plus her call back skills are 2nd to none.

Finally saw ‘Godzilla Minus One’ and loved it. But my brain is weird and during the ocean fight scenes I got very distracted by how Gojira maintains a prolonged upright position in water? Are they just paddling madly like a giant duck? I love this image and only adds to the experience.

Doing my periodic revisit of ‘Alien’ and am once again reminded of the importance of listening to a woman who is good at her job and sticking to the quarantine rules. If only this weren’t still relevant today.

Your mundane news update of the day - Evening of Day 2 of 2024. Started and finished another 300+ page novel. This is how I used to read. Fingers crossed I’m getting my groove back.

Began 2024 by binging the final season of a beloved tv show and got teary (thanks Letterkenny!), ate some fairy floss, and read an entire 322 page book after being reading blocked for ages. Here is to this year continuing to trend this way.
