Blessed are the meek. They’ll inherit the earth. / Liberal democracy is better than the prevailing alternatives. / Read, write, edit. The written word has advantages over hand-waving and speech.
Neoconservatism as I see it was a strong form of liberalism. Formulated by liberals in reaction to illiberalism on the left. I wouldn't say that it's what led the US into Iraq. Bad intelligence and hubris did that. I would blame certain neoconservatives before blaming neoconservatism.

Dropping the "-ic" and saying "Democrat" instead of "Democratic" is a signal popularized by hacks to indicate contempt for the party and its members. It long predates the edgelord era.

I assume that the OP intended no such insult, but thanks for pointing out the connotation of that elided "ic."

"sees in Mamdani what he always wanted himself: to go from being a Queens outsider to a Manhattan insider."

Although Mamdani was something of a Manhattan insider before he moved to Queens and became a Manhattan insider again. Grew up in Morningside Heights, son of a Columbia professor and filmmaker

According to the NYS Board of elections, the number of registered voters in NYC is 5,315,694.

The number of eligible voters (including those who haven't registered) must be a little higher but probably not by much.

~1.77M residents are under 18.

~1.23 are noncitizens.

Total NYC pop is ~8.48M.

Who Is the Future of the Democratic Party, Spanberger or Mamdani?

Both. Obviously both. Plus everyone in between and some outside those parameters too.

If you don't want to express support, say locales have a right to pick who they want and Trump's wrong to interfere, threatening more lawbreaking.

I remember that series well. The Indians were on fire that year. Might have won the World Series had the umps not widened the strike zone for Maddux and Glavine.

That conversation sounds familiar. Her answer was approximately mine when the soul of the R Party was embodied by the Bushes and John McCain. Who weren't saints, although McCain was a hero. In any case, they weren't fascists, or authoritarians, or whatever the correct term is for their R successors.
