The far right tends to thrive after the left has failed. After 2008 we saw anti-austerity movts, left populist parties, as well as climate, feminist and BLM movts. Yet the centrists held their ground while capital increased its grip. The far right is the backwash of history

And the govt’s crackdown on protest and against ‘NIMBYs’, as well as its continued support for neoliberal privatisation, makes it incredibly safe as a place to invest.

It shouldn’t be this way. No natural monopoly should be run as a private business.
