My wife calls it "warm ketchup".

I enjoy tomato soup, but wholeheartedly agree with Obama that ketchup is unacceptable for anyone over 8yo.

It's a slogan. Slogans inherently lack nuance.
October 14, 2025 at 2:52 PM
Maybe it's not "lying". We all see a subset of everything happening, no need to jump to bad faith. Ugh.
October 12, 2025 at 8:45 PM
I am glad you did that though. I think it's important that people are reminded that they are not protected by some presidential immunity. (At least until SCOTUS takes that away.. okay, sorry for my pessimism, I am done).
October 8, 2025 at 12:45 AM
It will though. There is so much support by maga idiots to do illegal things, and so many of these people either in fervent support or fearful servitude, we will never get the broad support to put these people to account for their abdication to the constitution.
October 8, 2025 at 12:44 AM
God I hope so.
October 7, 2025 at 4:41 PM
Wouldn't they rather have the government closed than accept any of that though? There is no incentive for them to re-open... they'll just continue to blame Democrats and their base will believe it as if these negotiations were not manufactured by his arrogance and executive overreach.

Maybe it's correct to remove the dual mandate; but we aren't living in an environment of good faith toward institutions. What makes you think this doesn't open up, further, to be an institution being manipulated by politics?

It's like opening up a bag of popcorn in front of a seagull.
September 18, 2025 at 9:24 PM
Right, that's one aspect of the mandate. The other is that inflation is still a little hot.

Wasn't Russell supposed to be more proactive against this market concentration?
September 13, 2025 at 3:56 PM
And did he ever change his stance on an issue? He parroted absolute lies and when confronted with the truth, continued with the lies.

You can invite that debate, but if you aren't open to listening, then what's the point? It's just theater.
September 12, 2025 at 2:45 PM
Sorry you feel that way. We don't know why he was murdered. I abhor gun violence and this was tragic.

He wasn't a lodestar of political debate. His "prove me wrong" tour and provocative rhetoric doesn't build conversation, but barriers and stubbornness toward truth in our world and empathy.
September 12, 2025 at 2:27 PM
Trump once (first attack was apolitical). Minnesota was right-wing. Charlie Kirk is unknown. Midtown office was apolitical. Nashville energy facility planned attack was right wing; and so too the Antioch shooting.

Literally ignoring and misrepresenting all the right wing violence.
September 11, 2025 at 11:44 PM
Your observations are from a biased and extremely small sample.

All violence is the result of an inability to regulate emotions. And broad studies have shown violence is more prominent on the right ... As well as false information and conspiracy.
September 11, 2025 at 11:18 PM
Ah, so it's not the rhetoric that's the problem. It's your view that Democrats are an "emotionally unstable party".

Good talk, moron.
September 11, 2025 at 10:14 PM
Didn't AOC have this issue six years ago when the districts incumbent dropped out late?
September 11, 2025 at 9:35 PM
Are you on drugs, boy?

I don't think you can substantiate that claim, and further, you seem to ignore the rhetoric of the right that regularly and literally puts targets on the map of democratic politicians.
September 11, 2025 at 9:17 PM
Woah, no suspect has been in custody to make assertions about motivations. And "the left" didn't collectively shoot him.
September 11, 2025 at 6:24 PM
Maybe I don't know, and it's beside the point because calling someone a Nazi or fascist isn't calling for violence either.
September 11, 2025 at 6:22 PM
Pretty sure Kirk has 0 tolerance for left leaning ideology. He may have called for "free speech", but he advocated the military occupation of cities or calling gay people abominations.

What should we feel for those who are "announcing to the crazies out there to go ahead and attack"?
September 11, 2025 at 5:58 PM
You sound eerily like the rural folks who deplore cities. 🤷.
September 2, 2025 at 4:21 PM
Solid reasons to have it in either place. I agree, the move is motivated by politics and stupid.
September 2, 2025 at 4:19 PM
My understanding is that Huntsville is a big aeronautical engineering place. I don't know why Colorado was chosen or additional motivations for the move (obviously this is not zero cost), but Huntsville isn't a bad choice.

Mamdani also literally says "with the help of Albany".
