When I'm hiring for my day job, I tend to hire women because they're more reliable and they don't let their egos get in the way. I've noticed they tend to make more of an effort to work as a team, which I highly value. Not in all cases, of course, but I'd say 90% of the time.

That's why I always use quotes around the word for them. When I speak of them out loud, there's lots of air quotes.

I agree. Any type of niche I've ever worked has had its "gurus" and they are all cut from the same cloth.
