It's been a little over nine years since I got my first tattoo - on my friend's couch. I was so excited to get it - a reminder that I was in recovery for my eating disorder. It's not as sharp as it used to be but it's still just as important.

My dad has grown these hens and chicks my whole life - he took these from his garden to put in mine a few years ago. This is a progression of the "roostering" during last summer. I had never seen this before and asked my wife why the plants "look like a demogorgon"
