One of the random remarks about TOS that's stuck with me is how you can apparently sequence the episodes so that you lead with a thinky material and segue into lighter fare as the edible hits.

From the fiber side, there's an environmental spiral that makes it harder and harder. Pasture lands have been degraded leading to worse hair and crappier sweaters. This discusses cashmere (Which granted, isn't what I shop for) but I've read similar about wool too.

Perhaps I overthink, but that's a nifty inversion: This mysterious deep-ish sea fish becoming a (Presumably) staple river swimmer.
