It's so much more likely to be a right wing militia or radical group of former military guys who want to give trump pretext for more emergency powers

The crazy thing about Brian White scoring 4 goals is that he also hit the woodwork twice!!

Why do so many coaches play it so conservatively these days when deciding whether or not to play with attacking midfielders?

I get that the pressing game is super super impo'tant nowadays, but shouldn't world class coaches be able to get the balance in the midfield right when it matters?

A serious topic among fans on the internet, maybe...but the impetus to consider what would be a fairly radical change is actually coming from the ownership group for the first time and I think there's a good chance it happens.

What are you talking about. It wasn't an MLS game. The ref wasn't even from MLS
February 20, 2025 at 5:42 PM
The league wouldn't be seriously considering it if so many owners were outright opposed to the idea.

year will tell them how feasible it is. If it's 6 weeks on both sides, that's probably not doable in the long term. If it's 3 weeks each in december and february, and MLS bakes in a couple of postponed games a season, it's probably worth it imo
February 19, 2025 at 1:15 PM
MLS already plays games in December and February, though. For the coldest markets, they'll be able to schedule a certain amount of away dates during the worst months of the year. So their analysis of just how many weeks a team like Minnesota will have to play away from home to start and finish the

I dont amticipate thay being a common scenario if they go ahead with the schedule change. MLS is in all likelihood weighing the cost of having to reschedule some games every year. They already play games in the time of year when those temperatures are possible.

MLS will speak with each of it's teams and do the necessary research to find out exactly how big the sacrifices are and ultimately if the payout is worth it.
February 14, 2025 at 3:16 PM
The US is a big country and there are admittedly some markets with extreme cold weather. I dont think it's as many as some make it out to be, but it's also not a situation that MLS can just ignore.

I dont think it's feasible to have some teams go on a 6 week road trip to start every season, but

with the European rhythm.
February 13, 2025 at 10:32 PM
I dont think its as black and white. The question isn't whether or not MLS is going to play in the winter. The season already starts in February. It's really about if the league can handle a couple more winter games in each market and if it's worth the payoff of aligning the transfer windows

What would make it authentic?

Sometimes a lot of moves are in the works, but they need that one domino to fall
February 12, 2025 at 12:07 PM
I'm sure some MLS clubs are interested, but there's very little chance he goes to Miami. They already have all of their DP slots filled
