I don't think that hat is standard uniform (also looks way too clean, fucker is 100% trying to act like a local)

Iowa Dems do have some things cooking, I still thoroughly believe the day will come that I get to watch JD Scholten dominate in the Congressional Baseball Game

If Peltola runs, she's got it. Also would be an elite VP pick, dads and uncles across the country will see someone talk about how important it is to protect public lands and the fly fishing spots in them and vote blue for the first time in their lives.

If he doesn't want to put his family through state level MAGA harassment, there's no way he's on the 2028 ticket. He'd be good, but I fully respect him wanting to just sleep peacefully at night.

he'd rather let it all burn than admit that bipartisanship died during his extensive time in the Senate
January 3, 2026 at 10:27 PM
dude has literally laid out that he's building cases right now to drop once the electoral reality shifts back so the charges stick

to be fair most people really do not grasp how long and drawn out a trial and all the work going into it gets

Somehow that hasn't really been used much in his two gubernatorial runs, and this is from a state GOP who had a sitting member of Congress think "Hitler was right" was a good idea to start a sentence.

Far more worried about what some deranged lone wolf will do than general attack ads, personally.

November 14, 2025 at 3:20 AM
how did Iowa manage to have everyone who has ever heard the term "democrat" run in their senate primary, while Maine gets this guy and someone over a decade past normal retirement age
October 22, 2025 at 5:30 PM
Don Henley is 78 years old, what do you want from them
October 10, 2025 at 2:19 AM
One to keep an eye on for 2028, could very solidly round out a ticket. VP role would still allow her to spend a good amount of time with her kids.

If you're from the area, "Bob from da South Side" is also acceptable

Supermajorities in both houses. This would be passed by the end of June.

I doubted him in the 2018 gov primary, voted against him there (and FWIW I still think Daniel Biss would make an excellent governor), voted for JB reluctantly in the general, and all he's done since is win me over repeatedly. Now I'd run through a wall to get him up 1% in Iowa in 2028
