Albion Rover. The football team equivalent on one of those people with a surname for a first name.

McKenzie Jones. Peters Peterson. Smith Rickets. Albion Rovers.

What is our deal with weaker opposition? It’s been this way since the 80’s. Beat the big guys, collapse against the bottom-dwellers.

“create an organic atmosphere” is possibly the dumbest thing I have ever read in my life in connection with football. And that’s saying something.

I may be misremembering this but didn’t they change the law (again) a year or two back to eliminate the “double-jeopardy” of red card + pen unless it was violent or dangerous conduct? Not sure. But when that spot kick failed to go in it felt like the writing was on the wall. Shame. Must bounce back.

Oh, nice! My wife used to watch the Ducks, too. This is Forward Madison’s sixth season. 2 playoff appearances and 1 playoff win in 6 years. Most years there were 8 playoff spots and 11 or 12 teams.

It’s not cheap either! Last time I went it was $35 a seat and $15 for a beer, in USL1. Shocking.

How can a team that consistently outsells most other clubs in the league by orders of 4-1 consistently fail to reach the playoffs, when the “playoffs” consist of 8 out of 14 teams? It’s a complete train-wreck, year after years.
