It is hard to say at this stage what impact the policy had on alcohol attributable deaths. But publicly available data does seem to suggest the NT was bucking the rising trend seen in the rest of Australia. We will see if this trend persists.

The policy itself was clearly targeted at reducing cask wine consumption, which has remained at a reduced level to this day. I suspect a reversal of this trend will likely be the first clear change.
