The skydiving and spacewalking are no exception. I struggled to get back into my ship while spacewalking and skydiving lacked a sense of speed and control that I had hoped for.

It needs work to be on par with native VR. The character body and HUD doesn’t work with physical movement, interactions that should be physical are not, and menus can be frustrating and janky.

All that said, NMS in VR can be breathtaking and delivers more substance than nearly any other VR game.

I didn’t get a chance to hop into it today but No Man’s Sky is fully playable in first person VR so I am confident these new features won’t be an exception.

Super excited for New Game + but there is zero chance that MR enhances an experience predicated on punching yourself around a room. Meta clearly can’t separate useful cases for mixed reality vs ones that worsen an experience.

Definitely. Another factor is what’s available on the respective platforms. There’s just more to do on PC that you give up by spending time on something else.

That definitely tracks with PC users being more critical than those on standalone. Valve will eventually release a PCVR console and we will all get together and sing kumbaya.
