I use KnitPicks yarns, both wool (Wool of the Andes) and cotton (Dishie). They’re very consistent so I don’t worry about dye lots. Their patterns are pretty great too.

We tie them to cattle

Love the yarn. Understand completely about the pattern. Life’s too short to hate what you’re knitting for any reason 🧶 I love your picture because I was recently thinking how a class project for young kids could show the real world uses for math by calculating knit rates and will she finish in time

More info - we live in the country and have a cat door for our other two cats, which is how she got in. And she was skin and bones, so she was desperately in need of a good home and regular meals.

I did a scarf for my mom one year using this technique. Very fun to do! Nicely done and nicely photographed too! I never got decent pics of mine.
