We were in Westford, MA in our inflatable kayak recently and came upon a Bald Eagle in a tree along the shore. As my wife tried to manoeuver the kayak so I could get a good photo, two things happened. The eagle sprung from the tree towards us and the kayak sprang a leak beneath us.

Our Hell Strip (the narrow land between the sidewalk and street) is planted with sunflowers. A pair of goldfinches dodge passing traffic & pedestrians to feast on the seeds.

Birding at Horn Pond (Woburn, Massachusetts) and saw a Townsend's warbler, which is rare for this time/place.
