Yeah - but even with 'down day' you still might need breaks from one another.
On my first trip with friends to Europe, we had a couple down days in the first week and one of my friends STILL was so frustrated with the group and 'hardships' of travel, he flew home 7 days early.

Sainte Chapelle is one of my favorite places. Such a surprise if you have never seen pictures of it and don't know it exists, then walk in and BAM! hit with the heavenly light from the stained glass windows.
