Retired Church of England priest. Moved to a Yorkshire seaside town. Fan of Jethro Tull. Keen on making music, photography, reading history, philosophy, poetry and anything that makes me think differently. Happy to be grampy.
Kingdom Season has some of the characteristics that Advent once had. Though, judging by the Christmas tree already up in the houses around here, thoughts of Heaven, Hell, Death and Judgment may have to come earlier still to avoid the annual celebration of the Incarnation of our Lord.

Agreed. Watching it that night on Top of the Pops gave an exciting/scary feeling that still stirs in me when I listen to Ziggy Stardust and Aladdin Sane.

Perhaps, someone should tell him about Hillsborough in 1989 and why the fencing had been installed, which stopped fans escape the overcrowding.

What is the source for this? It seems at odds with Julian's understanding of the Divine Love as being for everyone.

The sentiment is good, but this does not sound like Julian of Norwich. I admit that one of my pet peeves is the attribution of inspirational quotes without any source.
Apparently it is not from Martin Luther either puritanboard.com/threads/sour...
Source of Popular Martin Luther Quotation on Prayer?
Does anyone know where this quotation, often attributed to Martin Luther, originates? Prayer is not overcoming God's reluctance. It is laying hold of His willingness.

My father-in-law advised me when I was ordained, "However busy you are, never give people the impression that you are busy."
I hate it when other people leave me feeling that they cannot spare any time for my concerns.
