March was a much slower reading month. Life was super busy lifing, ya know? Anyhoo - here's what I read. I only rate 5 star reads. Seems like the kind way to go. There are a couple of books that are specific enough outliers that I'll add a note about, below.

Experimental soup time. 🍲

What a weird month February was. Lots of reading, including a lot of comfort reading. Here's everything I finished. I should mention I love kids/MG/YA books (former job focus) - there are a couple of good ones on the list. I only rate 5 stars, as always.✨

Two tiny Bluesky "horror" stories (at least for glasses wearers like myself, ha!) that decided to cohabitate in my feed today.
Two adjacent Bluesky posts, the first from Dr. Heather Hinam, who wrote: "Note to self: never put your glasses on top of your hood when you're shoveling snow. I guess I'm going to find them in the spring." The second post is by Weird Fiction author Jeff VanderMeer, showing a picture of what look like reader's glasses resting on a scraggly bed of moss ranging in color from bright spring green to tones of red and brown. The ends of the moss are tasslelike leafy bits. There are other mosses around the edge, and the whole mass of moss rests on grey stone, perhaps a granite. There are speckles of rain on the readers. Somehow there is a look of focus, or perhaps a recent wearer lurking below the glasses. VanderMeer comments on this: "Some in Portland are completely subsumed by the moss."

Non sequitur to absolutely everything, but this is one of my favorite corners of my dwelling. You can't do better than a Triangle of Positivity and a flying pig for encouragement, IMHO.
