The New Hampshire Council on Developmental Disabilities is a federally funded agency that supports public policies and initiatives that remove barriers and promote opportunities in all areas of life.
Awareness, of any cause and not just poverty, helps people connect with the issue at hand. They are more inclined to participate in efforts to end such issues. And while their efforts alone might not be enough for total eradication, awareness is an important step.

Pregnancy and birth are disabling for so many folks. Without affordable, accessible, culturally humble care — even more so. These hospital closures will cost lives, but they’ll also disable folks. Add that to abortion care bans? Repro justice is disability justice, plain and simple.
