Yo! I'm an animator, artist, and designer. This is also the official page for my original character, Nhazul. Let's rock! 🤘
For sure. Nice work, and that's how you get back at it. Looks mad clean for 8 years without. Get those timers going, let those small sessions be good enough until you build more stamina. Even during times when you are unhappy with the results, finish, move on, make another. Keep at it, brotha. 💪

To you, it might feel like I accomplish a lot, but to me, it feels like hardly enough. That’s the pressure that always lives with me. You aren’t alone in that. For me, the keys are to proactively take care of your mental health, dig deep, set some simple obtainable structures, and go after it. (4/4)

I printed that out and put it on my desk. The other way I’ve been combatting this has been to set dedicated animation timers, pomodoros basically. 15 or 30 min timers, animate w/ no distractions, the is work done, progress made, it’s good for the day. Sometimes it leads to longer sessions ofc. (3/4)

Even after years worth of hiatuses where I didn’t animate a single frame, I can't kick the itch. So, there is passion, which helps motivate, but not always. I struggle with perfectionism as well. It's paralyzing. A fave quote of mine has been “Don’t let perfection be the enemy of progress”. (2/4)

I have no perfect answer for this. I still find it hard to create time and energy to animate. I have a full-time job, a side gig, a family, and ofc many other hobbies. Animation sits on the outskirts of all of that, but it’s something I’ve always had a weirdly strong passion for. (1/4)
