Here’s an idea: how about porn teaching men to give women actual pleasure? Everyone will have much more fun this way, and more often, too!

The Oscar didn’t go to Selena Gomez, though, it went to Zoë Saldaña😂

I agree with the headspace, actually. Why give it to hate at all? Just don’t give it (the movie, whatever) any attention at all, much better than spending your energy on hating.
March 3, 2025 at 10:23 PM
You didn’t have to think about it before, either 😂

Makes me wonder about the original post, meaning always gets lost in translation. But in general, her tweets read to me like something many far-right Spanish might say - and there are more than you’d think. Apparently I’m not the only one who experienced Spain like that: remezcla.com/features/fil...

Karla Sofia Gascón is in the middle of a media firestorm since racist tweets of hers resurfaced. And for this Latina, it's not surprising.

It’s not quite clear whom she considers to be wrong. The people who consider black people „monkeys“? Of course they’re wrong!! People who consider police to be murderers? Not every police officer kills people, lol. To say that both are wrong is kinda true.
March 3, 2025 at 9:51 PM
She didn’t actually write that (where do you get your information from?), but her tweets are still problematic.
March 3, 2025 at 9:45 PM
“I truly believe that very few people ever cared about George Floyd, a drug addict and a hustler. But his death has served to highlight once again that there are those who still consider Black people to be monkeys without rights and those who consider the police to be murderers. All wrong.”
March 3, 2025 at 9:43 PM
“Let me get this straight, a guy tries to pass off a counterfeit bill after consuming methamphetamine, an idiot policeman arrives and goes too far in arresting him, killing him, ruining the lives of his family and his colleagues, and turning the guy with the bill into a martyr hero,” Gascón wrote

As someone who lived in Spain for some time and had been warned beforehand that Spanish people can be pretty racist, her tweets read to me like something many conservative Spanish might say. The right wing is stronger than many realise.
Also, I’m not the only one: remezcla.com/features/fil...

Wow, you sure sound like an expert. What’s your background, are you a German historian?

The AfD is very good at using social media for their propaganda, the other parties are only slowly catching up in ramping up their social media presences.
February 23, 2025 at 11:06 AM
And that’s exactly why all other political parties say they won’t collaborate with the AfD. Which is why Vance‘s accusations regarding freedom of speech and democracy at the security conference were so absurd but also very telling about Vance himself.

But why?
February 17, 2025 at 9:54 AM
So you’re implying Israel will not exist anymore in a couple of years?
February 17, 2025 at 9:33 AM
I don’t even know what this is supposed to mean, but it sounds insulting.

Is says as much in the NYT post, but can you tell me what the accusations towards the bookstore owners are?
February 10, 2025 at 5:29 PM
But Israel is still a democracy and most Israelis don’t agree with their far-right government in that regard anyways, afaik. Of course, it’s not helping with public opinion how Hamas is staging the hostage handovers.
February 10, 2025 at 5:27 PM
Israel has some far-right politicians in government who probably danced a jig once Trump proposed his crazy ideas for Gaza. They still wouldn’t have dared to officially propose something similar, first. Let‘s hope the rest of the world won’t let them (and Trump) go through with those.
February 10, 2025 at 5:25 PM
I still don’t think that man should have been arrested, though
February 10, 2025 at 5:14 PM
@danfoxmi.bsky.social is right in pointing out Hamas‘ genocidal intent, though. The original charter from 1988 calls for killing Jews and obliterating Israel, spreads conspiracies, and promotes Jihad (articles 7,8,13,15,22,28). They changed the wording in 2017 but never repudiated the original.
February 10, 2025 at 5:13 PM
I am not justifying anything. War is always terrible and there are accusations of genocidal intent on both sides. The pro-Palestinians are just loader. I do wonder, though, if you are as invested in other genocides across the world still happening.
February 10, 2025 at 4:54 PM
Both sides committed crimes, there’s no dispute
