returning a bunch of unfinished library books this week. dissertation brain is not leaving much room/energy so im returning to more mindless pursuits.. who wants a knitted xmas sweater? (jk plz dont request it takes me forever to make one) #PhDSky

had a nice full-circle moment this week as I guest lectured and led the lab section on probability distributions for our first-year PhD students. I remember being quite confused when I was in their shoes not so long ago (what is a dnorm()???) 😅 funny how teaching is such a good learning tool #rstats

ramping up dissertation data collection (and 1st ever data collection in my PhD!) and everything feels so real now 😬 a pretty manual binder definitely helps..

inspired by a posit::conf talk by James Balamuta, I converted some lecture notes to an interactive webpage with quarto-webr so students can easily edit and run code chunks as they follow along during class 😮 so pleased with my first posit::conf() experience!
