The Ensemble model combining individual model predictions consistently ranked among the top performers and outperformed the baseline model at all forecasting horizons. Overall, ensemble performance remained stable & robust over time.

The Ensemble model combining individual model predictions consistently ranked among the top performers and outperformed the baseline model at all forecasting horizons. Overall, ensemble performance remained stable & robust over time.
We analyse the inaugural season of Influcast, the first Italian collaborative forecasting hub focused on influenza. During the 2023/24 flu season, Influcast ran 20 forecasting rounds with 5 teams contributing 8 models, generating 4-week ahead predictions for national & regional ILI incidence.
