yea it makes sense that everything would be more amplified now just out of the sheer lvl of popularity animes gotten in the past few years, its just so disheartening to see everything surrounding opm these past few months. dudes making livelihoods off of harrassing overworked artists is wild

or maybe it's burn-out??? i feel like i draw for work and it's like ok cool trying to get this done and meet deadlines yes. but then i try to draw in my sketchbook and its poo from the butt... oct-dec kicked my butt but ill recover soon come 2026 jan i gotta get back into doing studies again....

maybe its because i havent been doing personal work?? a bit ago i had the prob late revelation that drawing with a more disconnected line like ___ ___ and flipping between frames like crazy is really faster, but also feels counterintuitive to all the time i spent trying to train my line confidence..

ty!! they were just to separate different elements from one another since a lot of things were on their own layers, like "this is an underdrawing of the structure of their torso, so ill make it blue and draw the clothes on top in red!" it's a habit i had at the time but don't really do anymore

my problem is everything i have is either old, work-related, or i just dont like anymore lmao... my unfortunate truth is i love drawing things and going "i will never show this to anyone" bc its lowkey kinda freeing.. but Not Good professionally ig...

plus twt and ig (to a lesser but still real extent) make me feel miserable whenever i go on there, which kinda sucks bc i actually would really like to talk w mutuals more, so if this works out yippee if not we just pretend none of this happened 🤝
