I started building this year's #WinterVillage and began with something very #NotLego, Fun Whole's "Ski Lodge". It's a tad bigger than I thought (as I ignored the size info when I bought it).

On to the next building.

I finally found some time to work on my game again. The change from mouse to controller removed many problems that killed progress before.

New doors and the action menu is in again, I also changed the base grid from 32 to 16px (I was using the tiles in 2x).

The story so far: 12:00h, 28°C in my office, but I've added basic tooltips and that's as far as I'm willing to take it right now.
Instead of going with a tooltip object to reuse, I decided to use a script in the draw event (and not needing an event manager).

Working on my game and watching "Ghost in the Shell" (1995).

I rewrote the "hint bubble" mechanic, moving it from a dedicated object into a script to be run from Step and Draw.

It's been a while since my last post, as I was busy working on the latest version of my "pays-the-bills" software.

I don't usually feel like a puppy when seeing a show (being a #C64 kid), but bugger me, being in a room full of 70+ is like a dance of the dead. At least there are chairs.

After toying around in #gamemaker and trying to make the game idea work with the gameplay loop I had in mind, I decided that it wouldn't work.
So I killed off almost all code written so far to start with a "blank" project. (No, I'm not quite ready to reveal it yet).
