Recently i tried taking a photo of my Compaq 7550 CRT monitor my phone and couldn't get a good a photo with my latest desktop wallpaper.
My phone's camera refused to sync up with the monitor no matter what refresh rate i set it to, so i tried my old Sony camera and i got a really decent photo.
