Questions about the Military brass who went through with legally sketchy martial law but also, the soldiers did not go violent, at least, faced with some resistance from politicians and protesters - and Yoon's closest thugs in government seem to resign en masse.

Some say the failure suggests SK's democracy is strong, I hope that's true. What's also clear is Koreans have no nostalgia for military strong-arming citizens - on the contrary those wounds have not healed,and the population is comfortable with taking the streets, protesting, and throwing presidents
